Future plan

Continuing the trend of ongoing activities, the government has taken various initiatives to protect the country's food security by expanding irrigation in Brahmanbaria district and continuing the continuation of agricultural development with a new project called "Brahmanbaria, Chandpur and Comilla District Development Project".
Ashuganj-Polash Agro-Irrigation Project's Future Plan:
A. Providing irrigation facilities to additional 2860 hectares (7064 acres) of land under construction and irrigation infrastructure using the project;
B. Continuous irrigation of 22000 hectares (55000 acres) in the fourth phase of the Ashuganj-Polash Agro-Irrigation project by the 1170 cusec and 800 cusec emitted cooling water from the Ashuganj and Ghorashal thermal power plants, using the appropriate technology;
C. By irrigation 22000 hectare (55000 acres) of land 96250 May Ensure the production of tons of food grains and irrigation through 2860 hectares (7064 acres) of land at 12512 Production of tons of food grains is carried out every year by approximately 108762 Ton food production;
D Creating inter-employment opportunities and poverty reduction through the inclusion of farmers in the project area through irrigation, food production and processing activities.
